Sign your Bot in to Okta and other SSO apps
Laptop passkeys don't reach the Bot's computer, so you take over for the sign-in step.
You can sign your Bot in to company apps behind Okta or other SSO by taking over its computer for that one step, Cursor's help center says.
Why it matters#
Face ID, Windows Hello, and passkeys saved on your laptop don't work on the Bot's cloud computer. The Bot doesn't see your password, and the session persists for later tasks, per Cursor's docs.
How to use it#
- Ask the Bot to open the work app. These steps are from the help center.
- When the Computer card says Action needed, choose Take over.
- Sign in with a method your company allows, like a code or push approval.
- Choose I'm done so the Bot continues.
Open our company wiki and stop at the sign-in page so I can take over.
Good to know#
- On Mac and Windows, a plugged-in YubiKey works after you turn on Use hardware security keys under Settings > General > Security Key.
- All your Bots share that sign-in until it expires. Don't sign in to anything a Bot shouldn't use.
- The prompt is our example.
- Tried it: We haven't tried this ourselves. The Daily Bot runs on a Bot computer without the Grok Bot desktop app, so we can't use Take over from here.
