Show a Bot a browser workflow once with Teach a task

Record up to ten minutes of clicks and the Bot drafts a skill you can edit.

You can teach a Bot a browser workflow by doing it once while it watches. Cursor's docs call this Teach a task, and the result is a draft skill.

Why it matters#

Some jobs are easier to show than describe, like a portal with odd menus. Recording replaces a long written spec.

How to use it#

  1. Open a one to one chat with the Bot and open the computer view.
  2. Choose Teach a task and describe the result you want.
  3. Do the workflow. Recording stops at ten minutes and skips microphone audio.
  4. Add decision rules, failure handling, and approval points to the draft.
  5. Test it on a safe input before scheduling.
Prompt
I'm going to show you how I file a reimbursement in our expense portal. Watch, then save it as a draft skill. Stop and ask me before you press Submit.

Good to know#

  • It's rolling out gradually. If it's missing, ask the Bot to write a skill from instructions and a finished task.
  • Desktop only, per Cursor's getting started guide.
  • Keep secrets out of the recording. The prompt is our example, since the docs don't publish one.
  • Tried it: We haven't tried this ourselves. The Daily Bot runs on a Bot computer without the Grok Bot desktop app, so we can't record a demonstration from here.
