Top bots

Public templates, ranked

Last checked Fri 16 Oct 2026.

Top bots ranks public templates from the Grok Bot Marketplace (https://x.ai/bot/marketplace) using only signals anyone can check. First come the four bots in the marketplace's own Featured row, in the order the marketplace shows them. Next come bots that people outside the bot's creator recommended by name on X, ranked by how many independent people did so. Each recommendation is linked, and posts by a bot's own creator, automated accounts such as @grok, and promo accounts do not count. A roundup that lists most of a marketplace shelf counts the same as a link to that shelf, not as a recommendation for each bot in it. Ties go first to a bot with an official Grok Bot or staff recommendation, then to its visible position on the marketplace's From Grok Bot Team shelf, then to the earliest recommendation. A bot with no independent recommendation is listed only if Grok Bot officially recommended it, and it comes last. The marketplace publishes no install or usage counts, so we don't show any. We have not installed or run these bots. Each entry is based on the instructions printed on its public listing page, and every entry shows when we last checked it. We re-rank weekly.

  1. 1. From Grok Bot Team

    dr eggbot

    Lauren Tan (@poteto)

First in the marketplace Featured row, and recommended by 13 independent users, the most of any bot here.

di_null says auditing their bots with it cut usage more than in half (self-reported, no screenshot).

    What it does

Designs new Grok Bots: asks a few preference questions, then creates the bot. Includes weekday transcript checks and a Monday routine audit for wasted tokens.

    Who it is for

Anyone building or tidying up a set of bots.

    What to connect

pstack plugin (listed). Routines: transcript-healthcheck weekdays 8:44, routine-healthcheck Mondays 8:49 local.

    How we checked

Not run. We read the full listing (4 skills, 2 routines). A forum user found its transcript-healthcheck routine assumed transcript files that weren't there and had to adjust it: https://forum.cursor.com/t/grok-bot-forever-box-agent-transcripts-mirror-never-created-server-agent-proxy-transcript-tail-connecterror/172494

  2. 2. Featured

    Overheard

    Lenny Rachitsky (@lennysan)

Second in the marketplace Featured row. We found no independent recommendations.

    What it does

Watches Reddit, Hacker News, news sites and X for outside mentions of your name, brand and URLs, and sends a short weekday digest. Stays quiet on days with nothing new and never posts.

    Who it is for

Founders, creators and marketers who track mentions of their name or brand.

    What to connect

X (optional, improves X coverage), Slack (optional, for digest delivery). The daily routine starts paused.

    How we checked

Not run. We read the full listing instructions.

  3. 3. Featured

    Tradbot

    Claire Vo (@clairevo)

Third in the marketplace Featured row. Lenny Rachitsky recommended it to another user.

    What it does

Watches your personal email and calendar so school forms, bills, RSVPs and pickups don't slip. Drafts replies and never sends without you.

    Who it is for

Parents and anyone running a household calendar.

    What to connect

Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack. 5 routines (weekday digest, afternoon pickup check, kitchen newspaper, weekend preview, monthly parent note).

    How we checked

Not run. We read the full listing instructions.

  4. 4. From Grok Bot Team · Engineering

    Projects Manager

    Eric Zakariasson (@ericzakariasson)

Fourth in the marketplace Featured row. We found no independent recommendations.

    What it does

Runs your team's projects from Notion: one row and one channel per project, with tasks your specialist bots claim. It never does the specialist work itself.

    Who it is for

People running several bots on shared projects.

    What to connect

    Notion, Slack.

    How we checked

Not run. We read the listing (1 skill, no routines).

  5. 5. From Grok Bot Team · Personal

    Pfp Bot

    Shub Gaur (@shubgaur)

Recommended by 4 independent users, 3 of them with images.

    What it does

Turns your X photo, an upload, a selfie or a pet photo into a small Grokbot-style icon. Style and prompt by @Multi_Serio_Ai (CC BY-NC 4.0).

    Who it is for

Anyone who wants a bot-style avatar.

    What to connect

X (listed, optional): reads your X profile photo and handle. Without it, the bot fetches your public profile photo from a handle you type.

    How we checked

Not run. TimDOES reported that when the bot sets its own avatar, the bottom half gets cut off. Downloading the image and uploading it by hand works (https://x.com/TimDOES/status/2103258019811533197).

  6. 6. From Grok Bot Team · Sales

    Outbound Prospecting

    Krista Letz (@kristaletz)

First on the From Grok Bot Team shelf, and shared with a description by 2 independent accounts (no results shown).

    What it does

Finds prospects who match your ideal customer, researches each one on the public web and drafts a first message. Nothing sends without your yes.

    Who it is for

Founders, SDRs and account executives doing outbound sales.

    What to connect

Listed: Slack, Notion, Linear, Gmail, Google Sheets, X, Salesforce. 3 routines (weekday drafts, Friday recap, Monday list top-up).

    How we checked

Not run. We read the full listing (8 skills).

  7. 7. From Grok Bot Team · Engineering

    tinkabot

    Lauren Tan (@poteto)

Recommended by one independent user (Oct 5).

    What it does

Wraps an API into a Cursor/Agent plugin (MCP plus skills), tests it locally, then asks before publishing.

    Who it is for

Developers turning an API into a plugin.

    What to connect

    pstack plugin (listed).

    How we checked

Not run. We read the listing (3 skills).

  8. 8. From Grok Bot Team · Engineering

    Nightly Audit Engineer

    Lingxi Li (@lingxi)

Recommended by one independent user (Sep 23).

    What it does

Researches a whole codebase overnight, then opens one cleanup PR per area. Runs at 4am by default and asks before it starts.

    Who it is for

Engineers who want regular cleanup PRs.

    What to connect

No plugins listed. Needs a repo it can open PRs on.

    How we checked

Not run. We read the listing instructions.

  9. 9. Product · Marketing

    last30days

    Matt Van Horn (@mvanhorn)

Recommended by one independent user (Sep 30), himself a marketplace creator.

    What it does

Writes a sourced brief on what people said about a topic in the last 30 days, from Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, Hacker News, Polymarket, GitHub and the web.

    Who it is for

    Researchers, marketers and product managers.

    What to connect

No plugins. Installs a skill from GitHub and needs Python 3.12+. ScrapeCreators credits come through GitHub sign-in. For X, you sign in to x.com on the bot's computer, give an xAI or Xquik key, or skip X. The listing says not to use the marketplace X plugin.

    How we checked

Not run. We read the listing instructions.

  10. 10. From Grok Bot Team

    Haggle Bot

    Daniel Gartshein (no handle listed)

Introduced in the official @bot marketplace launch post and 3rd on the From Grok Bot Team shelf. We found no independent recommendation outside shelf-wide roundups. The company says Haggle Bot saved it over $100K in its first week; that is the company's own claim, not independently verified.

    What it does

Lists your SaaS spend, finds savings backed by evidence (unused seats, duplicates, cheaper options) and drafts vendor counteroffers. Never spends, signs or sends without you.

    Who it is for

Finance, ops or founders who own software spend.

    What to connect

Ramp, Google Sheets, Gmail. Optional: Slack, Notion, Google Drive, Granola. Both routines are off by default.

    How we checked

Not run. We read the full listing (6 skills, 2 routines).
