Grok BotReleases
Automatic updates are on by default
Version 0.65.0 restarts Grok Bot to apply updates while you're away.
Grok Bot 0.65.0, out Sep 30, turns on Automatic Updates by default, so the app restarts to apply updates while you're away. Teammates can also start a voice chat with a Team Bot.
Why it matters#
You stay on a current build without doing anything. If you'd rather choose when Grok Bot restarts, you can turn the setting off.
How to use it#
- To turn automatic updates off, or back on, open Settings, then Updates.
- To update by hand, choose Check for Updates on the same page.
Everything in 0.65.0#
New#
- Team Bots: Teammates can start a voice chat with a Team Bot, and the call stays in their own conversation with it.
Improved#
- Updates: Automatic Updates is on by default, so Grok Bot restarts to apply updates while you're away. Turn it off in Settings, Updates.
- Phone: Your phone skips notifications for a Bot you're viewing on your computer, and resumes them once the computer locks, sleeps, or sits idle.
- Team Bots: Setup goes card to card with no Bot messages in between, and each card shows its step, such as Step 2 of 5.
Fixed#
- Connecting apps: Sign-in shows why it failed or that its link expired, and Reopen or Retry starts a fresh sign-in.
Good to know#
- Version 0.64.0, released the same day, refreshed Bot avatars and added Disable drafts for this Bot.
- On Windows, the in-app updater has a known signature check failure. Staff say installing Setup.exe from cursor.com/download/bot is the way to update for now. See our known issue entry.
- The help center says Grok Bot shows Update required once your version is more than 14 days old and a newer one is out, so staying on an old build has a limit.
- What to watch: a release note that fixes the Windows updater.
- We haven't tried this on a desktop install. The steps come from the release notes and Cursor's help center.
