Wish: let a Bot message you in X Chat
One user wants alerts from their Bot as an X Chat message to their own account.
What changed#
Oct 16: Bots can now read your X Chat inbox and message requests. This wish, a Bot that sends you X Chat messages, is still open. See the update below.
The ask: let a Bot send X Chat messages to your own account.
Who wants it (1 asker):
- @lgriao, Sep 12: "Today my X connector can read/search, but my Grok Bot agent can't deliver alerts or replies via X Chat/DM. I'd love outbound X Chat so my agent can ping me."
Workaround today: Bots reach you through app notifications, or by email or Slack once you connect them. Our daily X digest tip sends results to Slack.

Update, Oct 16:#
Reading your X Chat inbox and message requests went live, per Paul Vann (@pjvann), who posted at 10:39 AM ET that Bot access to "your @chat messages and message requests to help manage busy inboxes" is "now live." His post covers reading and managing your inbox. It does not say a Bot can send you an X Chat message, which is what this wish asks for. Setup and the rules to give your Bot are in our X Chat entry.
