Grok Bot can now find X Spaces and manage your X Lists
Ask your Bot for live Spaces on a topic, or to build a private List and add accounts to it.
Your Bot can now find X Spaces and manage your X Lists. Paul Vann, whose X bio reads "@spacexsi & @x api," posted at 7:26 PM ET Tuesday: "we heard you, and launched @X spaces & lists in @bot!" He added: "want to find a space to listen on? ask @bot! want to manage your lists? ask @bot!"
What changed#
In the 39-second demo video in Vann's post, a Bot answers "show me some of the most popping spaces on X right now" with a short list of live Spaces and their listener counts. Asked to pull the lists he's a member of, it names them and sums up their top recent posts.
Justin Fredette, who says in his bio that he tests AI tools, posted at 8:23 AM ET today that "your bot can now find X Spaces and manage your X Lists," and suggested creating a private List by asking.
Why it matters#
Our read: Lists are the easiest way to follow one topic on X, but building one by hand means a lot of profile clicking. Asking a Bot to do it takes one message. Spaces search helps you find live audio on a topic without scrolling.
How to use it#
- Ask in plain words. Fredette's suggestion, from his post: "Make me a private X list called AI builders and add these accounts."
- For Spaces, name a narrow topic. Fredette wrote that his Bot searched Spaces for "AI" and "25 came back, lots of them crypto. Be specific."
- A prompt to paste (ours, untested):
Find live or scheduled X Spaces about AI agents for small business this week, and list the host, time and link for each.
Good to know#
- Reads can cost X credits. At the end of the demo, the Bot reports that "Those two reads cost about $0.30 of your $58.18 in X credits." That text is in the video, not the post. Vann didn't say how pricing works.
- Vann didn't say which plans get it or whether you need to connect your own X account. The changelog still ends at 0.71.2 from Oct 14 and doesn't mention Spaces or Lists.
- We haven't tried it. Our Bot's X access didn't offer Spaces or Lists when we checked at 2:17 PM ET.
What to watch#
Whether Spaces and Lists show up in the next Grok Bot release notes, and whether a help page says what access they need.
