Grok Bot starts rolling out pages for reports, memos and dashboards
On the latest desktop and mobile apps, ask your Bot for a page, edit it together, or have it keep the page up to date. Not everyone has it yet.
Grok Bot is rolling out pages you can ask it to build as reports, memos and dashboards. The official account posted at 3:42 PM ET: "Ask Bot for a page, then edit it together or have Bot keep it up to date." It's rolling out "to users today on the latest mobile and desktop clients," so update your app, and don't worry if you don't see it yet.
What changed#
Pages aren't new. The Oct 11 changelog for 0.70.2 (our version page) says "Canvases and documents are both labeled Page" and "Shared pages have a title bar with Download, which saves a PDF". Before, a page was where a Bot's canvas or document landed. Now, per @bot, you ask for a report, memo or dashboard as a page and can have the Bot "keep it up to date." The post names no version or plans, and the changelog's latest release is still 0.71.2 (Oct 14).
Lauren (@poteto), whose X bio reads "Grok @Bot at @SpaceXSI," posted: "grok bot can now build Pages for you!"
Why it matters#
Our read: plenty of work is a document someone rebuilds every week, like a status report or a metrics dashboard. If the Bot keeps that page current, you share the page instead of copying a chat reply out.
How to use it#
We haven't tried it yet.
- Update Grok Bot on your computer or phone.
- Ask your Bot for a report, memo or dashboard as a page.
- Edit it together, or ask the Bot to keep it up to date.
A prompt to try (ours, untested):
Build me a page that tracks this week's open tasks, blockers and decisions from this chat. Keep it short. Then update it every weekday at 9 AM.
Good to know#
- Staff tip, not repeated use. Eric Zakariasson, whose X bio reads "tinkering @spacexsi, prev @cursor_ai," listed "some pages ive been finding useful": "launch burn-down lists," "design docs i iterate on with @bot," "morning briefs" and "what did i get done this week."
- Not everyone has it. One user replied: "when I tried it, it didn't work." That's a single report.
- No docs yet. No changelog line or help page as of 4:26 PM ET. The post doesn't say how the Bot keeps a page current. Our read: a routine is the likely way, but that's unconfirmed.
What to watch: release notes on sharing, refresh timing and plans, and whether pages pull live connector data on their own.
