Grok Bot now starts at $30 on The X Subscription

New sign-ups need Premium for Grok Bot. Current Cursor and SuperGrok plans keep working, and switching is optional but can't be undone.

Already pay for Cursor or SuperGrok? Do nothing: your plan, price and Grok Bot access stay. New to Grok Bot? It now starts at the $30 Premium plan on The X Subscription, one bill for Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium that SpaceXSI launched at 7:08 PM ET today. (confirmed)

What changed#

New customers choose from Free ($0), Plus ($8), Premium ($30), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200). Cursor says "Premium, Super, and Ultra also include Grok Bot." Free and Plus don't. Before today, Cursor Pro included Grok Bot. The blog says "The previous plans are no longer available for new sign-ups." (confirmed)

One weekly pool is shared by Grok and Cursor. "Within Grok, the pool covers Chat, Imagine, Voice, and Grok Bot." Premium gets 4x the Plus pool, Super 15x, Ultra 50x. No absolute amounts are published. (confirmed)

Included usage, as a multiple of Plus. Times Plus usage: Plus 1, Premium 4, Super 15, Ultra 50.PlusUltra

Why it matters#

Premium bundles "SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+, previously $90/month combined." If you only want Grok Bot, $30 is now the cheapest new plan that has it. Bot runs and Cursor coding now drain one allowance, and Cursor says "third-party models in Cursor move to API pricing on the new plans." (confirmed)

How to use it#

  1. Happy where you are? Stay. Switching "is optional," Cursor's help center says.
  2. Use Claude or GPT in Cursor? Your included third-party usage "continues until you switch," then costs API list prices.
  3. For an offer, check billing settings in Cursor or Grok, or cursor.com/unify or accounts.x.ai/unify. The rollout is gradual.
  4. More than one Cursor account? You pick a primary and the rest merge into it.
  5. Paid for Cursor in the App Store? Cancel it in your iPhone or iPad Settings after switching, "or Apple keeps billing you."

Have a Bot do the math first:

Prompt
Search my email for receipts from Cursor, SuperGrok and X Premium in the last 90 days. Make a table of what I pay each month for each. Then tell me whether The X Subscription Premium at $30 or Super at $100 would cost less, and what I would lose. Do not change any subscription.

Our test: both unify links, opened at 8:30 PM ET, went to sign-in, so we saw no offer.

Good to know#

  • "The switch is permanent. It can't be undone, and Support can't undo it for you."
  • Switching refunds unused time and starts a new billing cycle. If you do not switch, "Your annual term runs through its end date, unless you choose to upgrade."
  • SpaceXSI will "eventually" move remaining customers, with "no timeline yet" and advance notice.

What to watch#

Absolute pool sizes, and notice of the move. On the forum thread, a user asked whether annual Ultra subscribers lose third-party usage by switching. No staff answer yet.

Steps

  1. Already on Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra or a SuperGrok link and happy? Do nothing. Your plan and price stay.
  2. If you use Claude or GPT in Cursor, price that usage at API list rates before you switch.
  3. Check Cursor or Grok billing settings, or cursor.com/unify, for a switch offer.
  4. If you have more than one Cursor account, decide which one is primary before you start.
  5. Paid for Cursor through the App Store? Cancel it in your iPhone or iPad Settings after you switch.
