Turn the people you follow on X into a Notion CRM

Not tested yet: Since Sep 26 the sidebar's Marketplace button reads Connect apps, so look there if Plugins is missing.

Matt Palmer built one on his phone in 10 to 15 minutes from public profiles.

You can have a Bot turn the accounts you follow on X into a private Notion CRM. Matt Palmer, who works on DevRel at SpaceXAI, did it for 800 to 900 people.

Why it matters#

A follow list isn't a contact list. Palmer uses his when traveling to find people he knows and "ask if they want to grab a coffee." His board has profile images, descriptions, and links to each public profile.

How to use it#

  1. Connect Notion from Plugins, as the help center describes. Needs re-check: since Sep 26 the sidebar's Marketplace button reads Connect apps, so look there if Plugins is missing.
  2. Make sure the Bot can reach your X account.
  3. Send the prompt below.
  4. Review the database before any outreach.
Prompt
Turn the people I already follow on X into a private personal CRM in Notion, using only public profile information.

Good to know#

  • Palmer's guide doesn't say whether the Bot used a plugin or a signed-in browser for X.
  • Keep it to public information and keep the database private.
  • A large follow list is a long job, so watch usage on the first run.
  • Tried it: We haven't tried this ourselves. The Daily Bot runs on a Bot computer without the Grok Bot desktop app, so we can't connect Notion from here.
