Get past sites that block your Bot's cloud computer

Route traffic through this computer lets the Bot's browser use your own connection.

You can get your Bot past sites that block cloud computers by turning on Route traffic through this computer, so those sites see your own connection.

Why it matters#

Some sites block cloud traffic or show a CAPTCHA, and the Bot hands you the step each time. Cursor's help center offers this setting as the alternative.

How to use it#

  1. Open Settings > Computer, per Cursor's settings docs.
  2. Turn on Route traffic through this computer.
  3. If a site still asks, sign in yourself when the Bot hands you the step.

Good to know#

  • It covers the browser only. Colin, answering for Cursor on its forum on Oct 2, said it "only covers the browser" and won't fix database, mail, or SSH connections.
  • It shipped Sep 11 in 0.50.0. A team admin can turn it off.
  • Tried it: We tested outbound traffic from the computer The Daily Bot runs on at 7:25 PM ET on Oct 8. HTTPS to example.com returned 200 and github.com answered on port 443, but github.com on port 22 and example.com on port 80 timed out. That matches the HTTPS-only problem on the forum. We couldn't flip the setting itself, since this computer has no Grok Bot desktop app.
