GPT-6 brings Intelligent UI to every ChatGPT plan

You can now ask ChatGPT for a comparison, a diagram or a small tool (a calculator, a bill splitter) and get it rendered inside the chat. OpenAI announced it Oct 7: the rollout started that day for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise and expanded to Free and Go on Oct 8. (The Help Center release notes list it under Oct 9.)

What changed#

GPT-6 "can now combine text, visuals, and interactive elements to fit your question" and picks the format itself, falling back to plain text when that works best. It can also begin answering while it keeps thinking or using tools, then add findings without another prompt. For questions that need web search, OpenAI says GPT-6 Instant starts answering 44% sooner, on average, than GPT-5.6 Instant.

Model split: Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise get GPT-6 Sol; Free and Go get GPT-6 Luna. Intelligent UI works from Instant through Extra High reasoning.

Why it matters#

Questions that used to need a spreadsheet or a second app (split this bill, compare these three plans) can be answered with something you can click. Streaming partial answers also means less waiting on long reasoning runs.

How to use it#

Open the Chat tab. Chat is ChatGPT's everyday mode; Work is the agent for longer deliverables and Codex is for software work, and neither changes with this release.
Pick any reasoning level from Instant to Extra High. Do not pick Pro.
Ask for something with structure or numbers.

Compare the three phone plans below side by side, then give me a small calculator where I can enter my monthly data use and see which plan is cheapest.

Good to know#

The Pro reasoning option still uses GPT-6 Astra and does not support Intelligent UI.
Work and Codex models are not changing with this release.
Enterprise availability depends on admin settings.
