Turn a finished job into a skill all your Bots can use

Not tested yet: This path comes from the same docs section that still describes the / menu.

One sentence after a good run saves the method as a skill every Bot can reuse.

You can save any job that went well as a skill by asking for it at the end. Cursor's docs say skills are available across your Bots.

Why it matters#

Without a skill, each Bot relearns the job, and a routine runs whatever loose instruction it got. The fan account @GrokBotRadar puts it simply: "Description = the rules. Skill = the how. Routine = the when."

How to use it#

  1. Finish a real task and correct it until it's right.
  2. Ask the Bot to save the process as a named skill.
  3. If another Bot can't see it, enable it under Settings > Plugins > Yours. Needs re-check: this path comes from the same docs section that still describes the / menu.
  4. Test it on a safe input before scheduling it.
Prompt
Save the process we used for this task as a skill called "Weekly account health". Include the source systems, risk definitions, output format, and the rule that customer contact always requires approval.

Good to know#

  • Each Bot still needs the plugin or login the skill uses.
  • Cursor's docs still say to type / in the composer to reference a skill. The newer Oct 7 changelog (0.68.1) says typing / "no longer opens a menu of skills and actions." We go with the newer source: ask for the skill by name.
  • The prompt is the docs' example.
  • Tried it: We haven't tried this ourselves. The Daily Bot runs on a Bot computer without the Grok Bot desktop app, so we can't create skills from here.
