Hark Pro known issues: fast-draining limits, GitHub and workspace bugs
If you use Hark Pro, here is what early users hit in week one, what Brett Adcock says is fixed, and what to do meanwhile.
What to know now: Hark Pro's usage cap is the top complaint in week one, on free and paid plans alike, and hitting it mid-task could wipe what you were typing. Brett Adcock says the cut-off work is saved in your sandbox and that clearer limit warnings are coming.
What changed#
Hark launched Oct 6. Adcock has been answering bug reports on X himself, calling several a "known issue" and saying fixes would land in about 30 minutes.
The issues#
- Limits drain fast. One user said they "completely exhausted the plan limit in literally 5 minutes on a basic sign-in flow." A $100 plan user said "several missions have already used 4%." Adcock: "You hit your daily limit. We didn't warn you clearly enough." He later called it "a monthly % to quota" and said "Will make it more clear." Status: confirmed, fix in progress.
- Lost text at the limit. Hitting the daily limit while writing a task cleared the draft. Adcock says the work "should be in your sandbox." Status: confirmed by Adcock.
- GitHub connector. Reported broken on launch day. On Oct 10, replying to a user report about pushing code, Adcock wrote: "Yes known issue. Pushing a PR now." Status: confirmed, fix reported shipping.
- Workspace outage, Oct 10. Replying to a user report of workspace downtime, Adcock wrote: "The fix is going into prod currently, 30min eta." Status: confirmed, reported fixed.
- Voice misses words. A user said transcription "often misses the first few words." Adcock: "Will fix this." Status: acknowledged.
- Slow browser tasks. Gizmodo watched a DoorDash order take "several minutes."
Why it matters#
Paid plans only sell more usage, and Hark does not publish the base quota. Until a usage meter ships, you cannot tell what a task costs before running it.
What to do now#
- Group requests into one clear message instead of several short ones.
- Use plain chat for questions; save Handoff for jobs that need a browser.
- If you hit the limit mid-draft, check your sandbox before retyping.
What to watch#
A usage meter in the app, since Adcock said he will make the quota clearer, and whether App Store version notes start listing specific fixes (2.1.0 and 2.2.0 both say only "Refinements to Hark").
