Hark says Handoff passed 1 million browser sessions for Pro users

Adcock's figure is unaudited. Here's how people use Hark Pro and its cloud browser, and where it still stumbles.

What you can do now: ask Hark for any job that needs a website, like a refund claim, a booking or a stack of documents to search, and it runs the job on its own cloud browser. On the web, skip Safari for long sessions: Brett Adcock says Hark hasn't optimized it well enough.

What changed#

Early on Oct 15, Adcock posted that Handoff "just crossed 1,000,000 browser sessions served for Hark Pro users, in the 7 days since launch." Hark Pro launched Oct 6, nine days earlier, and Hark hasn't said when its seven-day count starts. Hark's help page describes Handoff as "a computer in the cloud, operated by Hark" that can sign into sites and take actions "like buying things and filling out web forms." At Handoff's Aug 5 debut, the pitch was a benchmark claim; this is a usage figure. Hark hasn't said how many people use Pro, so sessions per user are unknown.

How people use it#

Hark reposted examples it picked on Oct 14: a £30 delayed-train refund one user said Hark suggested and had back "within 10 mins of onboarding," a table for six booked and added to a calendar, and an email reply needing a PDF form, a file and a signature that one user said only Hark finished "first try." Replying to Hark's thread, other users this week describe running social accounts daily, pulling data from an ETF provider's documents, and building a point-of-sale app.

How to use it#

  1. Open Chat and ask for the outcome.
  2. Say what Hark must show you before it pays or submits.
  3. Hark starts a Handoff when the job needs a browser. Our prompt:
Check my email for train or flight delays in the last month, find the compensation form for each one, fill it in, and show me every form before you submit anything.

Good to know#

  • Safari: Adcock: "We haven't optimized safari well enough. Our focus was chrome/firefox. Will add it to the list."
  • Usage still runs out, users report: one Pro 3 subscriber has used 91% of a month's limit, and another says hitting 100% drops you to free. Adcock replied, "You guys can just purchase credits if you max out?" Hark's auto top-up refills credits "up to a ceiling you predetermine."
  • The browser is the slow path, one daily user says. Hark's direct "Services" include Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
  • Unverified, one user each: file downloads that "often" fail, and Hark's cloud computer signing out of Google "every time" (post).
  • No CarPlay app. Asked about it, Adcock said: "We have solutions here. Stay tuned."

What to watch#

A Safari fix, a user count or completion rate to put the million in context, and the CarPlay "solutions."

Steps

  1. Open Chat in Hark Pro and ask for the outcome.
  2. Say what Hark must show you before it pays or submits.
  3. Hark starts a Handoff on its own when the job needs a browser.
